Lighthouse Automotive expansion update 1-24-12.  1/3 of the concrete floor is now poured, and they are working on the “tool room” block walls now.  We are very thankful for the tremendous progress being made and are still hoping to be operational in the new service shop sometime in April.

Photo Update on our construction addition. New parking lot work is finished, and they started digging and pouring footings for our new shop this week. Hope to have the new building up and enclosed by Christmas!

Below is an arial view of Morton take sometime in the 1940’s.  You can see the original “Lighthouse Automotive” building in center.  Photo is taken from the east and shows the main st/jackson st 4 way.  The old Libby’s factory is in the top left corner.  Notice there is no Caterpillar in the upper right corner!

Congratulations to our General Manager, Bart Rinkenberger on placing 42nd in the Steamboat Classic over the weekend! Wow, what an accomplishment!

We finally got updated GM signs at Lighthouse Automotive!  They look fantastic!

Our rollback tow truck finally had the engine fail on it.  Great job to Paul Runyon and Jared Wyss for doing the “heart transplant”. Good work, guys!

15 years of having our front door blow open with a strong west wind. We finally got “smart” and replaced the door with one that opens to the outside! Sorry, no more cold drafts at the popcorn machine!!! Our customer lounge may even be a little warmer in the winter!  LOL

Below is our owner, Jeff Grimm, giving a ride to 7 out of his 9 grand kids in a 1974 Buick Lesabre Convertible.  Looks like a pretty rowdy bunch!

Maybe GM could use this picture in a future Buick commercial…….

We came across a picture of our service team from 10 years ago. Wow things have changed. We now have 2 times this many service employees, and only 3 current employees are in this picture from 2000 (Mike Grimm far left, Culley Vanlaecken, 3rd from left, Paul Runyon, back row center).  Enjoy!
